LB excited to meet Paterno
One of the more interesting prospects in the state of Pennsylvania that hasn’t gotten a ton of attention from recruiting writers is Pittsburgh Thomas Jefferson two-star outside linebacker Peter Winovich. But that’s likely to change now.
Winovich, who is 6-foot-3 and 230 pounds, quarterbacked TJ to the WPIAL AAA finals as a senior, but projects as an outside linebacker on the next level.

Winovich has scholarship offers from Akron, Bowling Green and Richmond. He’s already visited Bowling Green on December 19 and he’s scheduled to visit Penn State this upcoming weekend.
“This weekend we’ll be having dinner with Joe Paterno,” said Nina Winovich, Peter’s mother. “It’ll be really neat. He’s a legend in this part of the country.”
