Fast-rising Fort Washington (Md.) Friendly linebacker Eteyen Edet was scheduled to take an official to North Carolina this past weekend. The 6-foot-2, 235-pounder couldn't make the trip and is in the process of rescheduling a bunch of his officials.
"I'm planning to do it at the end of the month, possibly on February 1st to North Carolina," he said. "This weekend I'm going to Louisville and on the 25th I've got the SAT.
"I had Pittsburgh scheduled then and I may try to get something set up with them, maybe a week sometime in the near future."
What does Edet want to see on his trips?
"I'm going to ask a lot of questions," he said. "I hope these schools impress me. I'm going to be looking and if I'm impressed I may just commit on the spot, anything could happen."
Currently one school is leading for the two-star prospect.
"Louisville has been my dream school since I was younger," he said. "I've always liked them and Miami. Those schools produce linebackers. Louisville has two going to the NFL this year."
Edet also updated his academic status.
"I'm not qualified yet, but I'm really hoping I'll be qualified the next time I take the SAT. I'm real close and hopefully I'll get there soon."
