LB Custer lands verbal offer

Linebacker Jim Custer out of Salesianum (Dela.) Salesianum School landed his first offer. The 6-foot-1, 220-pounder pulled a verbal offer recently from a Division I program.
"I got a verbal offer from Navy," he said. "They told me that they can't do a written until December because I've got to go through admissions.

"I did go up there on Saturday to watch practice and it was really cool."
Custer went further about his trip.
"The defense was killing them," he said. "That was one of their question marks this year.
"I went around campus and saw the facilities. I met with the head coach and he's a really cool dude. The facilities are awesome too. They are right on the water and Annapolis has a real nice small town feel. It's gorgeous out there."
While Navy is picking up the interest, a few other schools are as well.
"I went on a trip with Evan Mulrooney to Cincinnati and now they are starting to email me and show interest," he said. "I'm also getting mail from UCLA and Brown."
Custer posted second team all-conference honors and five sacks in just six games as a junior this past season.
