LB Cook claims three offers

Norfolk (Va.) Booker T. Washington linebacker Calvert Cook claims three offers. Interest is picking up for the 5-foot-11, 223-pounder as he begins to consider unofficial visits.
"I've got offers from Western Michigan, Western Kentucky and NC Central," he said. "I'm talking to NC State, they really liked my highlight tape. They were very excited about it. I'm also looking at Rutgers, Penn State and Duke for camp this summer.

"Most of those schools want to see my SAT scores. They haven't come out yet. Some are talking about possibly offering in the spring, maybe May."
Cook has yet to visit any schools, but is eyeing a trip to Western Michigan sometime soon.
In the meantime, what is he looking for as interest grows?
"I want a place I know I can play, I want a good family environment and good chemistry around there along with good coaches that can help me," he said. "I want a good defense, good defensive schemes and I'd like a city atmosphere."
Cook posted 105 tackles and one interception as a junior this past season.
He is currently participating in track and throwing the shot putt this spring for Booker T. Washington.
