LB Commits After Trip

Cincinnati (Ohio) Elder linebacker Ricky Brown has verbally committed to Boston College.
“He committed last night after we got home and talked things over,” said Ricky’s mother. “Plain and simple – he fell in love with the place. We went over everything after we got back from his official visit and we couldn’t find any negatives.”

Brown, a 6-foot-3, 230-pounder, chose the Eagles over Vanderbilt, Northwestern, Duke, Louisville and others. He had originally committed to Vanderbilt in June with friend Kyle Ralph from Cincinnati (Ohio) St. Xavier, but de-committed when their coach resigned.
“We loved BC all along, even when Ricky chose Vanderbilt,” she said. “Meeting with the academic people at BC and meeting all the players and coaches was great. Coach Horton is also a great person and Ricky didn’t want to play anywhere else. He cancelled all his other visits.”
Brown is the eighth BC commitment and the second linebacker in this class.
