LB Cole gets closer to landing first offer

Pomfret (Md.) McDonough linebacker Christian Cole is seeing his interest pick up. The 6-foot-1, 215-pounder has visited a few schools already as he awaits his first offer.
"I've visited NC State with my teammate," he said. "They said they were interested and told me I'm on the cusp of the type they offer.

"I also have visited Rutgers, last Saturday. They told me they were impressed with my film and I should consider coming to one of their camps. I've also been in contact with Villanova and Delaware."
Rutgers was the most recent visit and Cole went on about that more.
"I liked it," he said. "The facilities they have are nice and the tempo is really fast and aggressive. It's a live environment and I like how they do everything."
Cole plans to take visits in the next two weeks to Princeton and Old Dominion, before prepping for a busy summer full of camps.
So, does he like anybody?
"I just want to stay on the East Coast," he said. "I want to go to a school that has a good business program. That is what I'm trying to major in, in case going to the league doesn't work out. I want to start my own business."
Cole had a big year as a junior posting second team all-conference and first team all-county with 79 tackles, 7.5 sacks and five forced fumbles.
"I'm a good blitzer and I can get downhill," he said. "I can shed blocks well and adjust to the offense."
