Woodbridge (Va.) C.D. Hylton linebacker Ahmad Brooks was on hand for the Virginia Tech-Virginia showdown this weekend. So did it change anything about his interest in either school?
"No, it doesn't change anything," said the 6-foot-3, 230-pounder who is considered the top outside linebacker in the country. "Both teams showed alot and the crowd support was great. Virginia had great fan support even after they lost and Virginia Tech had a bunch of fans there."
Does a game like that make Brooks want to stay in state?
"I don't think it affects me like that because alot of schools have great crowds and have rivalries," he explained. "I just went to take in the game and see how the stadium and crowd was."
So does Brooks, who has visits set to Virginia Tech (Dec. 14) and Virginia (Jan. 18), have a favorite now?
"No, no favorite," he said. "I'll go to those two visits and to Florida State in December as well. I also want to go to Tennessee."
Brooks had eight tackles and two offensive touchdowns in his team's win this past weekend.
