LB Brooks Leaning Prior To Visits

Linebacker Ahmad Brooks doesn’t want to name a leader at this point because he hasn’t taken, or even scheduled, any official visits yet. However, he will tell you which school he is leaning towards prior to his visits.
“You could say I’m leaning a little bit to Virginia,” said the 6-foot-3, 230-pound linebacker from C.D. Hylton High School in Woodbridge, Va. “I really like the coaching staff there and feel most comfortable at UVA right now.”

That being said, Brooks still intends on looking at some other schools.
“I’ll visit UVA but I’ll also take an official trip to Virginia Tech and Florida State,” he said. “I’m also thinking about taking trip to either Tennessee, Southern Cal or NC State. But UVA and Virginia Tech are my top two right now.”
Brooks is the second-ranked outside linebacker in the country and a member of the Rivals 100 team. There have been rumors that he’s been talking with other big-name recruits about heading to the same school.
“I’ve talked with Marcus Hamilton and Kai Parham a bit,” he said. “Kai and I went on an unofficial visit to UVA this summer and we’ve talked about playing together. UVA said we’d both be used as inside linebackers and that would be a cool combination. Whatever team I choose, I’ll try to recruit other top players in the state to join me.”
