"I have committed to Nebraska," the 6-foot-1, 215-pound Brandenburgh said. "I just felt comfortable there. It was the place I should be."
The player of the year in the Kansas City metro area as a junior, had scholarship offers from Colorado, Kansas and UCLA in addition to the one from Nebraska.
"I had a good time at Nebraska," he said. "They have some very nice facilities up there and put on a good showing for us while we were up there."
Brandenburgh becomes the seventh commitment for the Huskers and the second from the Kansas City area, joining linebacker Michael Keenan, in the last week.
