LB Bowens takes an unofficial

Linebacker Reggie Bowens out of Garner, N.C. took an unofficial visit in-state last weekend. The 6-foot-2, 210-pounder made a stop through Greenville to check out East Carolina.
"I went to ECU this past weekend," he said. "It was a good trip. I hung out with my sister there for a little while and went to the game. It was a really good game and they won in a close one.

"They showed a lot of good hustle out there. The players worked hard and it was pretty loud. I also met with one of the assistants and he was cool. He just said he was glad that I came to the game."
The three-star prospect added that he plans to take an unofficial to South Carolina sometime in the near future.
At this time, Bowens is favoring two schools, North Carolina and South Carolina.
"I like South Carolina because they have a former teammate there, Chris Culliver," he said. "He tells me about the school and what he likes about it.
"I like North Carolina since they are local and have some really cool coaches. I've talked to a bunch of their coaches."
The No. 18 outside linebacker in the country is still hoping to make a relatively early decision.
"I'll probably try to make it by the end of this month. I may go on some unofficials before I decide."
This season, Bowens has helped Garner to a 4-0 record.
"We are progressing every game," he said. "We're not up to our max potential, but we're doing well.
"I've been doing ok. I think I've got a lot of stuff to work on still. I really need to get in the best shape I can since they have me playing both ways."
Up to this point, Bowens claims he's registered 18 tackles and four sacks this season.
