LB Barber claims a favorite

Mocksville (N.C.) Davie linebacker Jared Barber is holding onto three scholarships. The 6-foot-2, 218-pounder seems content with the offers he has and claims one of the three schools is standing out at this time.
"I was going to do other camps, but I think with the three schools that have offered (NC State, West Virginia, Wake Forest), there is a school I'm definitely looking at now," he stated. "I don't think there is a reason for me to look around further, I'm happy with what I have."

Who's Barber leaning to?
"I'm leaning towards West Virginia," he said. "I went up there two or three weekends ago with my dad and my best friend. I stayed the night and toured around. I talked to a bunch of the coaches and fell in love with the place. It's a great college town, a great football atmosphere and the fan base is ridiculous. I really can see myself being a Mountaineer."
Barber maintains he plans to take visits to his other finalists.
"I was going to visit NC State last weekend or two weeks ago, but Russell Wilson's father passed and that is definitely more important for them than to visit," he stated. "I'm trying to make it up to NC State and then more than likely Wake Forest one more time. I plan to go back to West Virginia around August 1st.
"I think that could be the day I decided depending on how the Wake Forest and NC State visits go."
