LB Angerer talks recruiting and more

Bettendorf, IA. inside linebacker prospect Pat Angerer (6-foot-1, 215 pounds) took time away from his soccer and track seasons to visit Northern Illinois University on Sunday for a Junior Day event in DeKalb.
“Overall I thought that Northern Illinois was a nice school and I enjoyed my visit," Pat Angerer said. “I really like the defense that they play, they play an attack 4-3 just like my school plays. I was able to talk to the coaches and I took a tour of the college and of the facilities. It was a good experience overall."

Angerer has also begun to reach the post-season in soccer and track. "We qualified for the state meet in the 4x200, but we didn't make it in the 4x100 because we had a baton drop. I'm also starting the playoffs this week in soccer, so I'm going to be pretty busy over the next week or so."
Angerer, who has received calls so far during the May evaluation from Indiana, Iowa State and Penn State as well as a recent in school visit from Nebraska, is set in his summer plans. "First off I'm going to hit the weight room very hard, then I'm planning to camp at Iowa, Iowa State, Wisconsin and Penn State this summer. Once track and soccer is over with, I'm then totally dedicated to football."
Pat Angerer has an offer from Iowa State.
