LB Amazed At Game Atmosphere

Hampton (Va.) Phoebus linebacker Xavier Adibi recently attended a game that couldn't help but influence his ultimate decision.
"I was at the Virginia Tech-LSU game obviously to see my brother play," said the 6-foot-3, 215-pounder whose brother, Nathaniel, plays defensive end for the Hokies. "Man, I have never seen a crowd as excited as that. That was the loudest place I've ever been to and the atmosphere was amazing."

Adibi, who has refused to name Tech as his leader despite the family connection, admitted that the Hokies big win over LSU affected him.
"How could it not, it was an amazing win and event," he said. "I still don't want to list anyone as my leader or anything, but that game was impressive."
In addition to Virginia Tech, Adibi lists NC State, Maryland, Tennessee, Georgia and Miami in his top six. He has offers from all of them except for the Hurricanes and UGA.
"Hopefully those two will offer soon because I'm very interested in them," he said. "Right now I just want to take my official visits and take my time."
Adibi didn't get home until around 3AM Monday morning so he missed any calls from coaches.
"I expect to get a bunch this week," he said. "Like I said, I'm keeping my options open, but Sunday's game was awesome. That really moved Tech up in my mind."
Adibi's Phoebus team played a scrimmage against Western Branch Friday night but he's missed the last four weeks with a strained MCL.
"I'll be back this week."
