Layne ready to visit the Spartans

Rivals250 wide receiver Justin Layne of Cleveland (Ohio) Benedictine is looking ahead to spring visits and already has one on the schedule for this month.
"I do plan on getting up to Michigan State on the 28th of this month," Layne said. "I am very excited just to learn more about them. I like the playing opportunity, the relationships and I really like the coaching staff."

Layne has three coaches he keeps in regular contact with at Michigan State and they are Terry Samuel, Jim Bollman and Curtis Blackwell.
"They are just talking to me and building a relationship with me and I like that about them," Layne said. "We really don't talk football too much and just that opened my eyes up a little more."
The 6-foot-2, 181-pound Layne boasts a double digit offer list, and does not list any leaders at this stage of his recruitment.
"I talk to a lot of schools right now like Ohio State, Penn State, Michigan State, Notre Dame and I'm hearing from LSU and Georgia," Layne said. "I am just taking it in right now."
Layne is still in the process of talking with his father about other spring visits. He made his most recent trip last month to Ohio State and is considering a return visit to Columbus this spring.
"I am definitely trying to get down there too. I just left there a month ago, though, so I may try to get somewhere else," Layne said. "I want to try to get down (to Notre Dame). I have never been there before, so that should be interesting. I don't really know too much about Notre Dame, so I guess I'll have to see."
The No. 163 ranked player in the 2016 class, Layne helped lead Benedictine to a state title during his junior season.
