Lawson prefers playing QB

JaJuan Lawson has landed another Pac-12 offer and he's planning a trip to see both Arizona schools in early June but the Arizona State offer is interesting because the Sun Devils are recruiting him as an athlete.
The Petaluma (Calif.) Casa Grande three-star prospect said Arizona State's coaches promised him a shot to play quarterback if he goes there but that he could easily switch positions as well.

In the next few weeks, Lawson is going to visit Tucson and Tempe - he now has offers from Arizona and Arizona State - to get a better feel for both places.
"I've been in contact with (ASU) for 3-4 months and they've been kind of recruiting me as an athlete and a quarterback, kind of all over the place, and they said they're going to give me a shot at quarterback when I first get there," Lawson said. "They pulled the trigger a few days ago but I held off announcing everything.
"Every offer is big to me. I'm going to try to visit every school I possibly can. We're going out to visit both Arizona and Arizona State from June 3-6 so I'm interested to see both of them and see the whole coaching staff and see what they're all about."
Lawson, a 6-foot-1, 195-pound prospect, now has offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Army, Boston College, Sacramento State, Texas State, UNLV and Wyoming.
It's actually been a big week for Lawson, who first landed his Boston College offer and that was followed up by Arizona State. A trip to Boston College in mid-June is also a possibility as Lawson looks for the best fit in his recruitment.
"I want to play quarterback in college and I want to be given a fair shot so that will be played into consideration," Lawson said. "That's something I'll figure out along the way.
"The list of schools is dwindling down and I'm actually excited about that. There are 8-10 schools recruiting me so I can narrow that down and go from there."
