Lawson encouraged by new interest

JaJuan Lawson has not landed any new offers but the 2014 quarterback from Petaluma (Calif.) Casa Grande has been encouraged by some new developments.
Oregon, Arizona and Nevada continue to stay involved in his recruitment and since he's already taken unofficial visits to all three of those schools he hopes they stay involved as his recruitment continues.

Arizona, UNLV and Sacramento State have already offered and Lawson said he likes what he's hearing from those other coaching staffs.
"I've made unofficial visits to all those schools," Lawson said of Arizona, Oregon and Nevada.
"I know Arizona wants me. Oregon told me how they break down scholarships and they told me they offer late so I have to wait to see what happens with them. I feel like Nevada might come soon but I can't have any contact with them right now."
Lawson, who threw for 1,840 yards and 17 touchdowns in his junior season, has also talked with Boise State in recent weeks and has been encouraged by those discussions.
The 2014 quarterback has chatted off and on with Boise State for months and he's hoping a visit there could land him another offer later down the road.
"I met with Boise State about a week or two ago and they're showing a lot of interest," Lawson said. "Other than that it's been pretty quiet since everyone is finishing up the 2013 class.
"Boise wants me down for their junior day and their camp if they can get me down there. That's definitely a possibility. I've been talking to their offensive coordinator now for probably six months so we've formed a pretty good relationship."
