Lawshe is taking visits

Offensive guard Tevin Lawshe out of Charlotte (N.C.) Mallard Creek landed his first scholarship recently. The 6-foot-4, 273-pounder is seeing college interest rise and is in the midst of visits.
"I just have the one offer from East Carolina right now," he said. "I am going to a couple junior days coming up.

"I just came back from Wake Forest this past weekend. I talked to their new offensive line coach. I went to North Carolina before that and met Coach Fedora. I've got a good relationship with those guys."
Having visited both Wake Forest and North Carolina before, what was different?
"I got a tour of the campus," he said. "Both of them are great universities. I've got a good idea of what school life is like on both campuses.
"Carolina talked about offering sometime during summer. They like my film. They want to see how I play at center though."
Lawshe plans to head out on more trips soon.
"I'm going to Duke's spring practice on March 17th and then I'm going up to East Carolina for an unofficial on April 14th."
In the meantime, Auburn, Maryland, Tennessee and NC State are showing interest.
Does he like anyone?
"I don't have a favorite now," he said. "I'm really trying to see how the process plays out."
