Lawrence Guy ends his recruitment

Lawrence Guy, a 6-6, 270 pound defensive lineman from Las Vegas (Nev.) Western is the top player in the state and was recruited at the national level. He took visits to Arizona, Arizona State, Oklahoma and Tennessee and made his decision moments ago.
"I just committed to Arizona State," Guy said. "I have been leaning to ASU for awhile now and just felt like the time was right for me to do it now.

"ASU had everything I was looking for. I loved my visit and really bonded with the players and coaches there. I got that special feeling there and hanging out with the guys just felt like a big family.
"I also really like Coach Erickson and feel he's building a national championship team. When you look at the team this year, they were basically just a few plays away from playing for a title this year and I fully expect them to be playing for the national championship while I'm there.
"The school is close to home but still far enough away for me to feel like I'm going away. I also like the depth chart and the opportunity to play early next year. They like me as a rush end and that's where I want to play as well, I like coming off the edge.
"I'm just really excited right now and relieved to get this over with. I wanted to do it before Christmas and now I can just relax and really enjoy my vacation without worrying about recruiting any more."
