Lawler enjoys ASU, plans other visits

Kenny Lawler was at Arizona State last weekend to see the Sun Devils defeat USC and the four-star wide receiver from Upland, Calif., said he's still committed even if he's planning to take other trips.
"Everything is still good with ASU," Lawler said. "I'm just still looking around a little bit."

Lawler, a 6-foot-3, 175-pound prospect, would like to get to Nebraska the weekend of Oct. 8 for the Huskers matchup with Ohio State and official visits back to Arizona State and to Washington are also being considered. Many other teams have offered but Lawler is mainly focused on those three.
Even though Lawler committed to Arizona State in mid-February, he has kept an open mind about other programs and said he'd like to take some trips before National Signing Day so he knows what other places have to offer.
"I plan on taking the rest of my visits," he said.
As for Arizona State, everything went well during his weekend trip to Tempe - especially the Sun Devils' 21-point victory over USC. Lawler got to see a great atmosphere and also talk with the coaches and he said he felt comfortable the entire time he was there.
"It was nice," Lawler said. "I liked it a lot. The atmosphere was great. It couldn't have gotten better.
"I wasn't really surprised by the outcome because I went going into the game thinking ASU would beat them. It went good. Me and the coaches are really tight so we were talking a little bit. It was good the whole time."
Rivals.com rates Lawler No. 32 at wide receiver and No. 225 in the 2012 class. He's No. 32 in the California state rankings.
