Lawal could land third offer

Malik Lawal said his recruitment has been pretty quiet over the holidays but at least one more offer could be on the way for the 2015 linebacker.
The Temecula (Calif.) Chaparral standout said Colorado has reached out recently and while others have been pretty much radio silent in the last few weeks the Buffaloes could be next in line to offer.

"It's been pretty quiet right now," Lawal said. "So far it's been quiet. I talked to Colorado before we went to break and they said they'll be back. Other than that, it's been quiet for me.
"They said once the linebacker coach gets a hold of my film and is able to watch it then they're going to come back and I should be getting that offer."
That could be the third offer for Lawal, a 6-foot-1, 218-pound standout who has already landed offers from Cal and Washington State.
The Cougars have been especially active with Lawal early in his recruitment but the 2015 linebacker plans to take his time as things pick up this off-season.
Washington State is trying to get the Temecula Chaparral recruit on campus but Lawal has not planned anything yet.
"They've been sending me letters," Lawal said.
"I've been getting messages from the Washington State coaches about how they want me to visit Pullman and they're talking about their new facilities. They want me to come to their junior day but other than that not much."
Lawal recorded 61 tackles and 8.5 sacks in his junior season.
