"I really liked things. I really liked the coaches."
The 6-foot-2 and 230 pound Laurinaitis is the No. 28 inside linebacker prospect in the Rivals.com player rankings and the No. 5 prospect in the state of Minnesota.
Laurinaitis made 193 tackles including 28 behind the line of scrimmage during his senior season. He had five sacks and seven quarterback pressures.
Wayzata coach Brad Anderson is certainly high on his star player.
"He is a very fast and active linebacker," Anderson said. "He makes plays from sideline to sideline. And he's a natural leader."
