Latifs teammate favors UNC

It's easy for 6-foot-3, 285-pound offensive lineman prospect Richie Steward out of Midlothian (Va.) Manchester to get overlooked. Especially when you consider one of the top offensive lineman on the East Coast, Khalil Latif is his teammate. That doesn't mean Steward isn't getting his share of college interest anyway.
"He is getting his share mostly from Pittsburgh, Syracuse, Boston College, Virginia Tech, Virginia, North Carolina, North Carolina State and Tennessee," said Manchester head coach Tom Hall. "He recently took a junior day to North Carolina and I'd say they are probably his No. 1 school. He loved the visit there and enjoyed his time with the coaches."

Last season Steward was named honorable mention all-district as a junior.
"He is built totally different than Khalil, I'd say Richie is more like a big puppy," he said. "He hasn't even approached the tip of his talent, but did show a lot of improvement last year at left tackle for us. He still needs to work on his foot speed.
"Richie is a very hard working kid that is a strong run blocker. He is also physically strong benching 340-pounds. I really believe that the sky is the limit for his potential."
