Latham adds another SEC offer

Indianapolis (Ind.) North Central lineman Darius Latham's interest in the Southeastern Conference was demonstrated when he visited two conference programs in early spring. Earlier this week, Latham added another offer from the SEC.
SEC programs Auburn, Florida, Kentucky, Ole Miss, Mississippi State and Tennessee already appear on Latham's offer sheet. Now, you can add Arkansas to that list.

"Coach [Taver] Johnson, we talked a couple times and I got a good feel from him," Latham said. "He told me Arkansas is the big deal around [the state] because there are really no professional teams there."
A visit to Arkansas is a desire of Latham's, and one of the biggest attractions they have going for them is the conference they play in.
"Arkansas is in the SEC - a good conference with good competition," Latham said. "I am learning more about Arkansas and their campus."
Arkansas projects the 6-foot-5, 275-pound Latham as a defensive end. He could also play defensive tackle or offensive line in college, but prefers defense.
Latham had narrowed his focus to a top group of schools early in the spring, but reopened his process a few weeks back and reiterated that open stance this week. AAU basketball has taken up most of his spring schedule, and will dictate a good chunk of his summer as well, but the four-star prospect hopes to make some college campus visits before his senior year begins.
"I will probably get around to it, but I don't have anything planned at the moment," Latham said. "My mom has been talking and it seems she wants me to make a decision before the season."
The schools Latham has already visited during the recruiting process include Wisconsin, Florida, Tennessee, Michigan State, Notre Dame and Indiana.
