Late interest could make things interesting

Three-star linebacker Dwight Roberson (6-0, 210, 4.65) from Ventura (Calif.) Saint Bonaventure had an outstanding senior season that culminated in a SS CIF Division IV championship. It is safe to say the road would have been a lot harder without the fine play of Roberson.
The talented linebacker was at the top or near the top of every defensive statistic including tackles, a category that Roberson led the team in with 120. He also had four sacks, three picks, one fumble recovery and one blocked punt on the season.

Recruiting is picking up for the linebacker UCLA is jumping back into the picture somewhat.
"I just talked to UCLA about an hour ago," Saint Bonaventure coach John Mack said. "The Bruins are showing interest in Dwight again and may trip him this month."
"Oregon State is still doing the best job recruiting him," Mack said. "Their defensive coordinator Mark Banker is doing a great job."
"I would think Oregon State is the team to beat," Mack said. "They have been very consistent from the beginning."
The word on Roberson is Oregon State does lead but there is a chance if UCLA offers him a scholarship they may make the decision tougher because they are close to home.
Roberson has family up in Oregon and Oregon State is still fairly close to home so they could still be tough to beat.
This could be one of those interesting recruiting stories that develop late in the recruiting season and put fans of many schools on the proverbial recruiting roller coaster.
Roberson has two visit set to Oregon State on January 13th and Boston College on January 20th.
Colorado State has also offered Roberson a scholie.
