Larkin encouraged by NU feedback

Cincinnati (Ohio) LaSalle junior running back Jeremy Larkin still awaits his first offer, but he came off a game visit to Northwestern this weekend feeling good about where he stands with the Wildcats.
"It went real, real good," Larkin said of the visit. "I heard a lot of good things from Coach (Pat) Fitzgerald and Coach (Matt) MacPherson, the running backs coach. They said to keep doing what I am doing. They like my film a lot. They said they will be stopping by in a couple weeks to see me."

Northwestern is a school Larkin had expressed interest in early in the recruiting process, and that interest has grown after this weekend's visit.
"I loved the game and the atmosphere," he said. "It was definitely a nice college game day experience for me, and the fact they got the win against a big team like that and played really well was really good.
"I kind of like to watch the offense and see how they run things. I picked up that it is a lot like my offense in high school with the Spread that they run and how they use their running backs."
Larkin's LaSalle teammate, Jordan Thompson, is a Northwestern commit in the 2015 class, and he is also close friends with a current Wildcat who he stayed with while in Evanston.
"I got to stay with one of the players that I knew from awhile back (Keith Watkins II)," Larkin said. "I meshed pretty good with them and the guys were real cool. Especially after a big win, they were having a lot of fun."
Prior to this weekend's Northwestern visit, Larkin had made game visits to Kentucky and Ohio State
"I have been down to a Kentucky game when they played Ohio," Larkin said. "I talked to the recruiting guy from my area and he said they were supposed to be stopping down. They said they liked my film.
"I went to the Ohio State game last week when they played UC. That was a sold out game, so it was pretty packed with a lot of people there."
On the season Larkin has totaled 1,064 rushing yards and 18 total touchdowns. LaSalle has a perfect 6-0 record.
