Larimore narrows field to three

Merrillville, Ind., defensive tackle Dexter Larimore, who has scholarship offers from Ohio State, Michigan, Indiana, and Purdue for football, and Michigan State and Iowa State for wrestling, has returned from his official visit with the Hoosiers.
"I just got back," Larimore said when asked about his visit to Indiana. "It went really well. It was really nice.

"I know some of the players down there. I got to visit with them. The coaches are really nice. There is a lot of buzz with the new coaches. And the administration is starting to step it up to make Indiana better than in the past."
Larimore still has official visits scheduled to Michigan Nov. 12 and Ohio State Dec. 2. He has previously made official visits to Michigan State and Iowa State for wrestling.
When asked if he is still looking at Iowa State or Michigan State, Larimore said, "Not really. It's down to Indiana, Ohio State, and Michigan."
Is there a favorite?
"Not really," Larimore said. "I'm trying to take these visits and decide from there. I'll decide after I visit Ohio State."
The 6-foot-3 and 265-pound Larimore led Merrillville to a 16-13 win over the previously 11-0 and No. 2 ranked team in the state, Crown Point, over the weekend.
Crown Point had defeated Merrillville 13-0 earlier in the season when Larimore played only defense. But with Larimore playing both defense and offense, coming off the field for only six offensive plays, it was a different story this time.
Larimore is the No. 8 prospect in the state of Indiana in the Rivals.com player rankings.
