LaPorte discusses the latest
Three-star athlete Kyle LaPorte out of Piscataway, N.J. claims a handful of offers. The 5-foot-10, 175-pounder plans to visit a few of them next month. What's the latest?
"I've got offers from Rutgers, Michigan, Penn State and Miami," he said. "Right now, I'm trying to keep all the schools equal. I plan to take my officials."

LaPorte plans to visit three of the four soon.
"I've been planning to go to Penn State, Rutgers and Michigan in August," he said. "I just want to go and check out the facilities at those schools, see how they work and how the team is working."
In addition, LaPorte is hearing from Florida, Florida State, Florida A&M, Vanderbilt, Purdue, Arizona and Ohio State.
"They all just want me to get down to camps and visit the school unofficially," he said. "Of those, I'm hoping to get this Ohio State offer. I'm trying to set up a date with the coaches."
As he evaluates schools, LaPorte is looking for a few things in his future destination.
"I'm just looking to see how the school is academically and how the coaching staff is," he stated. "I want somewhere that feels like it's home, but location is not a really big deal. Playing time would be a big help and then just the environment."
