Lanis on a roll
Rivals100.com pre-evaluation period member offensive tackle Aleksey Lanis (6-6, 300, 5.1) from Los Angeles (Calif.) Crenshaw is on a roll. Earlier in the week he was offered a scholarship from ASU. The Sun Devils’ offer made it number three for Lanis. Now another Pac-10 has offered the talented lineman a scholie.
The Oregon Ducks have now officially offered Lanis a scholarship.

UCLA came out of the box early with the first offer on February 11th and then the Stanford Cardinal offered Lanis a scholie. Now with the Sun Devils and Ducks on board, look for offers to really start coming in for Lanis.
“I don’t have a favorite yet,” Lanis said. “I won't narrow down my choices until late August.”
Lanis was a standout at the Nike Camp held in San Diego on April 24th and his stock has been scorching ever since.
Lanis first caught the eye of Rivals.com with his outstanding performance against USC bound Thomas Herring in 2003. Many in attendance that day were very impressed on well Lanis did against one of the nation’s best prospects a year ago.
Lanis is considered by many as the best offensive lineman in the Los Angeles area and perhaps on the entire West Coast. He is very aggressive and has that little bit of nasty in him that you love to have in a top offensive line prospect.
Versatility is his calling card. Lanis has the talent to play all three interior line spots.
As a junior, Lanis was selected all-city, all-area and all-state.
