Lanis enjoys UCLA Junior Day

Los Angeles (Calif.) Crenshaw offensive lineman Aleksey Lanis received his second scholarship offer last week from Stanford and also attended UCLA's Junior Day over the weekend. The lineman gave his thoughts on both events.
"Junior day was a lot fun. The weather could have been better, but other then that it was good. It's kind of funny, at USC's Junior Day, I was burning up and got sun burn and last weekend, it was cold the whole time.

"They scrimmaged for most of the practice, so that was good to see. Even though the weather was bad, when they brought out the BBQ beans and sausage, my day lit up. It was great to talk to all of the coaches again. I already knew them pretty well because I took an unofficial visit there shortly after they offered me.
"Overall, it was a good time. I can't really say one was better than the other. Both are great schools and I know I would be happy at either place.
"As for the Stanford offer, I was very excited to hear that. I talked to Coach Teevens on the phone and that's when he offered. I'm going to go to their Junior Day May 23 and will also take an unofficial visit to Cal May 24. I'm also looking forward to the Nike Camp at San Diego State this weekend so there's a lot going on right now."
