Statistics: Lane rushed for 2044 yards during his junior season and scored 27 times, but will likely play on defense in college.

Skinny: Shaun Lane is the son of former Ohio State running back Garcia Lane.
Shaun Lane attended Ohio State's junior day last Saturday and was offered a scholarship. He committed according to sources, and is expected to announce that decision at a press conference on Thursday afternoon at 1:30. Lane becomes Ohio State's first commitment for the class of 2004.
Defensive back Jamario O'Neal from Mansfield (Ohio) Senior became Ohio State's first commitment for the class of 2005 earlier this week.
