Landry takes playoffs, recruiting seriously

Beaumont (Texas) Westbrook offensive tackle Nick Landry and his teammates are headed for the post-season trying to make a big statement, but right now he's still focusing on contacting several schools to find out their interest toward a possible offer.
Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, and UTEP have been the main schools that Landry has spoken with and the 6-foot-5, 265-pound tackle wants to add another offer to his list along with the Miners.

"I'm just keeping in contact with these coaches everyday," Landry said. "I've been talking a lot with a lot of those schools, but nothing has been brought up about an offer yet."
With his one offer in hand from the Miners, he is looking to add more. His dad has him looking at one Big 12 school in particular.
"My dad was trying to get me to consider going to Oklahoma State," Landry said. "I might consider that. I'm still pretty open though. I've got to get on some visits by the end of the month or next month. I haven't set those up yet."
Landry is looking for a late decision and just hopes more interest continues to flow in.
"Everybody keeps leaning towards offering, so I'm just being patient," he said.
