Landri Talks About His Commitment

"I committed to Notre Dame last night," Derek Landi said. "I just thought it was the best fit for me academically and athletically. I felt like no other school matched up to them. I visited Notre Dame in late July with my parents. That's when I was pretty much sold. I got along with all the coaches. I felt they were excited about me being there. I got really good vibes from them. If I play offense it will probably be guard. If I play defense it will be nose tackle or tackle."

Landri (6'3 280 4.87), from Concord DeLaSalle (CA), is one of the top two-way line prospects in the West. He also had offers from Miami, Nebraska, Cal, and USC, and said Nebraska was his second choice.
