Landers helps team off to 2-0 start

Roswell, Ga., offensive center Will Landers is one of the top 100 players in the Georgia, and he’s hoping to pick up the type of attention that a top prospect deserves.
“My coach says Furman is getting ready to send me an offer,” Landers said. “I’m kind of anxious to see what teams start calling me this week. The coaches at Vanderbilt said they were going to call. Then maybe Georgia Tech, and Duke seems really interested.”

Landers, though, is pretty focused on helping his team win. Roswell has started off 2-0 on the season, and Landers has been playing quite well.
“I’ve been grading out pretty good,” Landers said. “I’m starting both ways, but it’s getting tiring. I’m doing most of the damage on defense, and that’s the most fun. I get to do some damage and get to hit people instead of getting hit all the time.”
Landers camped this summer at Duke, Georgia Tech and Vanderbilt. Landers is 6-foot-2 and 259 pounds. He clocked a 4.94-second time in the 40-yard dash at the Atlanta NIKE Training Camp.
