Lampkin gets CUSA offer

Tucker (Ga.) has been sending prospects to the next level for years now and it looks like that trend will continue this year. One of the school's top prospects received his first Division I-A offer earlier this week.
"I got my first offer on Monday," Brandon Lampkin said. "East Carolina came by the school today and they offered me before leaving."

The Pirate offer surprised Lamkin.
"We sat around and talked for a while and they asked me to fill out a little questionnaire. After that, I went back to class. Then, they knock on the door, get me out of class, and tell me they would like to offer me a scholarship. I was very surprised by the offer," he said."
The offer moved East Carolina up high on Lampkin's list.
"I really like Michigan State and East Carolina a lot right now and then everyone else is even," he said. "East Carolina is definitely high because they offered me first and that shows me a lot."
"I am hearing from a lot of different schools and Kent State, Michigan State, South Carolina, Marshall, Central Florida, and some other schools have already been by."
Which schools are showing this 6-foot-5, 245-pound prospect the most attention?
"I would say Virginia Tech, Maryland, and Michigan State are on me the most."
Lampkin plans to be patient, check out his options before making this important decision.
"I am not in a rush at all," he said. "I want to see who offers, learn more about the schools, and take my visits before committing."
This summer, Lampkin plans to camp at Clemson, Virginia Tech, and Maryland.
