Lamar having monster year

Lindsey Lamar is a running back prospect from Tampa, Florida that is having a big time senior season. The 5-9 and 165 pound speedster from Hillsborough High School has rushed for 1,011 yards and 15 touchdowns on only 84 carries. That's over 12 yards per carry.
"I guess you can say I am having a really good year," Lamar said. "I think I have the ability to break tackles. I am not the biggest back but I run hard. In the open field I can really accelerate and make people miss."

Speed is a big part of Lamar's game. He placed third last year in the state 100 meters (10.35), losing to Jeff Demps. He also runs the 200 meters.
"I hope to win it this season."
According to Lamar he has 12 scholarship offers and he has officially visited one school – Wake Forest.
"I really like them. It's been my only visit but I love their family atmosphere. Wake has a lot of Florida players and I like their small class rooms."
South Carolina, Michigan, Duke, USF, and Florida State also make Lamar's short list.
"South Carolina offered me yesterday. I am pretty excited about that offer because that's my first SEC offer. I know I will definitely take a visit there. I don't know too much about them but I know it's a good school. I want to see what they have to offer.
"Right now I am wide open."
Hillsborough plays Armwood this weekend.
