Lake County OL adding offers

One of the top offensive linemen in Florida this year comes from the same high school as one of the state's best a year ago. Carlton Medder, a 6-foot-4 offensive tackle, played on the same line at South Lake High School with Ryan Carter, a recent University of Florida signee.
FlaRecruiting.com recently caught up with Carlton Medder to see what kind of interest he's been getting from colleges. He said a bunch of schools made visits to his high school during the May evaluation period.

"Ohio, Auburn, Florida State, Tennessee, Miami, UCF, Illinois, UConn, Florida, Georgia, Clemson, North Carolina, NC State, and others came by my high school," Medder said.
Medder is a 6-foot-4, 327 pound offensive tackle. He said he typically runs the forty-yard dash in 5.3 seconds. Medder already has four scholarship offers.
"I have offers from UCF, Georgia, Wake Forest, and Tennessee," Medder said.
Any favorites?
"I'm liking Georgia, Tennessee, and Florida," Medder said.
Carlton said one of the factors he will look at when choosing a school is the possibility of early playing time.
"UCF said that I would probably redshirt my first year there and start my second year," he said. "Georgia said I might be able to start as a freshman."
Medder, an All-District selection last season, recently camped at UF.
"I went to the Florida Gators camp and I'm hopefully going to the Georgia camp," Medder said. "Those would be the only two camps for me this summer."
Carlton Medder says he is no rush to make a decision.
"I'll take all my visits," Medder said. "I want to visit Georgia and Tennessee definitely. Maybe UCF, Ohio State, and Florida too."
