Lake City Columbia’s defensive end Eric Thomas is in no hurry to commit, even though his childhood favorite verbally offered him a scholarship.
“Coach Jody Allen of Florida State called me up and asked me if I would like to commit or ride it out,” Thomas said. “I’m going to ride it out. My favorite team growing up was Florida State because my Cousin Reinard Wilson played there. My top four schools are Florida State, North Carolina, Tennessee and Miami. I’m open to all of those schools.”
Thomas told FlaRecruiting.com that South Florida just offered and, that North Carolina was real interested also.

“The South Florida coach just called up, and he said that they were going to offer me,” Thomas said. “The defensive coordinator for North Carolina called me up also, and he told me how much he likes my hustle. He went on to tell me that he was the position coach for Julius Peppers.”
This spring, Thomas led his team to a 21-14 win over Palatka by making 8 tackles and one sack.
This summer Thomas and several of his teammates will camp at Florida State.”
