Lake City Columbia loaded next season

Lake City (Fla.) Columbia High School has some talented underclassmen. Everyone knows about running back Tiger Powell. Powell, 6-0 and 210 pounds, will be one of the better backs in the Class of 2010 from the Sunshine State.
"He will be a four-year starter," Columbia head coach Craig Howard said. "Tiger was the MVP of this team as a freshman. He has great vision, is a powerful runner that can break tackles and run away from people. Tiger is a down hill guy between the tackles. He also has great hands out of the backfield."

According to coach Howard Powell has a scholarship offer from Florida International and he's also receiving interest from Florida State, Florida, Georgia and others.
Other prospects in the 2010 class for Columbia are Brach Bessent and Christopher Dickey. Bessent, 6-2 and 235 pounds, plays middle linebacker and has an early offer from East Carolina. Dickey, 5-10 and 175 pounds, plays cover corner. He's receiving early interest from LSU, Georgia Tech, Georgia and East Carolina.
Perhaps the top prospect on this team is Timmy Jernigan. Jernigan, 6-2 and 255 pounds, is a defensive line prospect that won't graduate until 2011. He unofficially has scholarship offers from a bunch of school.
"Let's put it this way, anyone that has seen him as offered him. I mean it's all unofficial because he's only a sophomore. This kid has NFL written all over him. He's so explosive, has a great get off and can get after the pass rusher. There is no doubt he will be one of the top players in his class."
