Lacy starts to narrow list

Kenny Lacy wanted to get his offer list a little more manageable so the Phoenix (Ariz.) Mountain Pointe four-star offensive lineman has narrowed it to 16 schools.
Arizona State, Arkansas, Cal, Kansas State, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, South Carolina, UCLA, USC, Vanderbilt, Washington, Boise State, Colorado, Arizona and Oregon State have made the cut.

The only team on that list that hasn't offered is USC and Lacy said he's going to keep the Trojans around because it's a program he really likes and the coaches have given him good feedback.
"I'm not really waiting for any other offers," Lacy said. "USC talks to me a lot and I've visited there already.
"They told me they didn't offer Marqise Lee until July so coach (James) Cregg told me he's going to be at practice Tuesday and then I'll be at their camp this summer. USC is still on there but other than that I'm not looking at any other offers."
Lacy, a 6-foot-5, 270-pound prospect, said he isn't quite ready to make his decision but he's prepared to focus on a select number of schools.
Rated as the No. 14 offensive tackle and No. 122 in the 2013 class by Rivals.com, Lacy said he wants to take some official visits - maybe not all five - before he makes his commitment later on.
At this point, Lacy said he's not sure where he'll take his trips.
"I'm going through the process but I'm starting to get it to where I'm focusing on what I want to do," Lacy said.
"I'm going to take my official visits. I don't know if I'm going to take all five but I'm going to take a few of them and go see some places. As time goes on, the more places I see, the more coaches I talk to, the better I get to know them and the closer I should get to a decision."
