Lacy looking to dominate in Atlanta
With two months to go until the Rivals100 Five-Star Challenge gets rolling, Phoenix (Ariz.) Mountain Pointe offensive lineman Kenny Lacy has already set his goals for the invitation-only event: dominate.

"I plan on winning all of my one-on-ones," he said. "That is what I am going there for and I don't plan on losing."
Lacy, the No. 14-ranked offensive tackle and No. 122 overall player in the country, showed well at the U.S. Army All-American combine in January making the all-combine team and says that his trip to Atlanta on June 22-24 is going to be his coming out party.
"I did well in San Antonio," he said. "But I am better now than I was then and I want everyone to see it. This is a great opportunity to show everyone what I can do."
The 6-foot-6, 270-pound Lacy has shown plenty already and his list of college offers already stands at 24 - a list likely to grow.
He wants more.
"At this point I don't feel like I have much else to prove but that doesn't mean I am going to just stop working," Lacy said. "It isn't about getting more publicity, it is about competing and seeing if I really am up there with the best in the country.
"I want to know, and I am going to go and find out."
Lacy said his time at the Rivals100 Five-Star Challenge will be a place that he can put his improved footwork on display. It is also a place for him to put the reputation of his state on the line.
"The Class of 2013 down here (in Arizona) is pretty loaded," he said. "We have eight four-star players and we are getting more and more kids each year. I think it is great that the state is being recognized for what it is doing. I think we have kids that can play with anyone."
And while it is all business when Lacy takes the field at Lakewood Stadium he said that he has been monitoring the list of committed players and like what he sees.
"I saw Max (Browne) and (Chris) Hawkins are coming, too, so that is cool," he said. "I got to meet those guys and they were cool so it will be nice to get to see them again.
"I saw some of the defensive lineman, too. Looks like it will be fun."

Lacy is a very competitive kid who never says no to a challenge which is one of the reasons we like him. He's a hard worker, takes to coaching well and has good size, an excellent frame to build out and he's athletic. He did well at the U.S. Army Combine in January but this will be a much higher level of competition for him so it will be interesting to see if he can raise his game. The defensive linemen he will compete against is a very strong group and he will need to be aggressive to come out on top.
