La Marque prospects paring down

While La Marque's Aundre McGaskey and James Thomas are grabbing most of the recruiting headlines, teammates Rapheal Guidry and Michael Ray are plugging along in the process.
Guidry (6-4, 250-pounds) has fielded several offers and is beginning to set a few visits. He will official trip to Kansas State November 10th and has an offer already in hand.

"Right now my favorites are Baylor, Missouri and Kansas State," Guidry said. "Jared Perry is at Missouri and they are a Top 25 team on the rise. Most recently, I've been hearing a lot from Minnesota, who wants to play me at tight end."
Guidry plays both ways on the line of scrimmage. His versatility and size have garnered him offers from Baylor, Missouri, Kansas, Kansas State, Tulane, Iowa State, Colorado, Central Florida and Oklahoma State.
Also playing both ways is Ray (6-3, 250-pounds), who La Marque coach Bryan Irwin calls his best pure football player. With his size, Ray has been recruited by several mid majors and is narrowing in on one.
"Mike loves Kansas and I think he's going to visit pretty soon," Guidry said. "As far as committing, I think we will mostly wait until the season is over."
At 7-1 and state-ranked, that might be a while.
