La Frenz could commit early

Dylan La Frenz has offers from Arizona, Arizona State and Florida International and the offensive guard said he's considering a soft verbal commitment early on but will still take visits and investigate all his options.
That's not giving any program that has offered a particularly reassuring sign but the Rancho Cucamonga (Calif.) Los Osos prospect said he doesn't want to limit himself or which colleges get involved.

"I might soft verbal early but I'm going to take all my trips," La Frenz said.
"I want to take all my trips before I really decide anything. Right now, I don't know between Arizona and Arizona State."
The two Pac-10 programs are pretty much even at this point but the Los Osos standout likes different things about each. La Frenz, a 6-foot-4, 290-pound prospect, has visited Arizona State and is planning an official trip to Arizona sometime this fall.
"The Arizona State coaches make me feel like I'm at home," La Frenz said. "It feels like I've known them my entire life. Their program is going to be really good this year and I feel like I can win there.
"Arizona was my first offer so I automatically feel a close bond with them. I know they're going to be good because they have coach (Mike) Stoops at the helm. Coach (Robert) Anae is a great guy, too."
USC, Oregon and Washington are showing the most interest in La Frenz, who recently camped with the Trojans and said he thinks an offer might be close. He plans to camp at UCLA this weekend.
As far as official visits go, La Frenz said he wants to take trips to Arizona and Arizona State for sure and then will figure others out moving forward.
Although an early verbal commitment might happen, the Southern California prospect is not ready to make any pledges just yet.
"I'll wait a little longer," La Frenz said.
