L.A. Nike Camp: Recruiting notes

There were a bunch of top prospects at the Los Angeles NIKE Camp on Sunday and many of them had worthwhile recruiting updates. Here is some of the latest news on many of them:
Ishmael Adams continues to prove he's one of the West Coast's top defensive backs by winning the position MVP at the NIKE Camp and he reports three new offers from Arizona, Oregon State and UCLA.

The Westlake Village (Calif.) Oaks Christian standout also has Arizona State, Colorado, Georgia Tech, North Carolina, Oregon, SMU and Washington on his offer list.
** Los Angeles Dorsey linebacker Jeremiah Allison, who picked up an offer from UCLA in early March, now has SMU on his board as well. The 6-foot-1, 210-pound prospect said recently that Arizona State, Stanford, Washington, Arizona, USC, Princeton and Yale are also involved.
** One of the most technically-sound offensive linemen at the camp was guard Travis Averill from Anaheim (Calif.) Servite who already has an offer from Boise State. No other offers have come in yet but Averill said Colorado is showing lots of interest.
** Offensive guard Dejon Allen might be close to making his decision. The Compton (Calif.) Dominguez prospect said Arizona State is high on his list - especially after visiting Saturday for its junior day - and something could happen soon. Allen said maybe in the next week or two he could make a move for the Sun Devils.
** There should be no drama with Connor Brewer and his commitment to Texas. The Scottsdale (Ariz.) Chaparral quarterback said Sunday that he doesn't plan to take any other visits and that he's all set for the Longhorns. Brewer has been committed to Texas since early February.
** Gardena (Calif.) Serra inside linebacker Thomas Brown reports an offer from Arizona State with interest from Colorado, Nebraska and Oregon State. The 6-foot-2, 212-pound recruit could definitely pick up more offers with the exposure he'll receive playing for Serra.
** Matt Cochran claims early offers from Washington and Washington State and the Atwater (Calif.) Buhach center said others are interested as well. Cochran was one of the top interior linemen especially during one-on-one drills and is a teammate of big-time defensive tackle Aziz Shittu.
** Tight end Josh Cook claims early offers from Nebraska and Oregon State and the Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei recruit was one of the top players at his position at Sunday's NIKE Camp.
** Su'a Cravens, a 2013 safety from Murrieta (Calif.) Vista Murrieta, said he has three offers from Colorado, UCLA and Hawaii and that Oklahoma and Washington could be close to offering as well. Cravens started as a sophomore and could definitely hear from more schools as he gets older.
** Shane Dillon, a pro-style quarterback from El Cajon (Calif.) Christian, updated his offer list with Arizona, Cincinnati, Florida State and Ohio State on board. He said USC and Ohio State are his two favorites but that he's also researching many other programs. Miami and Florida might also be close to offering.
** Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco linebacker C.J. Dozier said Arizona is his newest offer to go along with Arizona State, Colorado, New Mexico and Washington. The Wildcats have also offered Reshawn Hooker, according to the Fontana (Calif.) Miller linebacker who also has Arizona State and Boise State on his list.
** Zachary Green, a 2013 running back who recently transferred from Los Angeles Cathedral to Ventura (Calif.) St. Bonaventure, said he's getting early interest from Alabama, Texas A&M, Washington, UCLA and USC. Ohio State and Wisconsin are two other programs to watch.
** Alphonso Marsh said Arizona, UCLA and Washington are his three early favorites. The Compton (Calif.) Dominguez defensive back also lists offers from Tennessee, New Mexico and SMU.
** Taylor McNamara has offers from some of the nation's top programs and interest from pretty much everywhere else but one school the San Diego (Calif.) Westview prospect is waiting on is Oregon. Finally, an offer might be close. McNamara said he plans to visit with the Ducks before his senior year and has the feeling that the coaching staff might be ready to offer.
** Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman offensive tackle Ronnie Stanley took an unofficial visit to USC on Saturday prior to the NIKE Camp and said he especially liked the coaching staff. Some believe the Trojans are the team to beat for Stanley but he's nowhere near making a decision yet. More trips are expected especially to SEC and Pac-10 schools and Stanley said he doesn't want to narrow anything down until his senior year.
** Derrick Woods said offers from Florida and Miami are intriguing especially since he has family in the south but the Inglewood, Calif., wide receiver said he'd still probably prefer to stay in the Pac-10. If he were to leave the area, though, the Hurricanes and Gators would be his favorites.
