Kuresas decision is getting closer

Jake Kuresa, the Rivals100 selection as a defensive lineman, made his official visit to Southern Cal last weekend. How did the Trojans fair?
“Well, I know he really, really liked USC,” Dave Kuresa, Jake’s father, said. “Coach Chow and Coach Uperesa are over there and he hung out with Troy Polomalu. He said he just had a great time.”

It appears that Kuresa, who is 6-foot-4, 305 pounds, is getting close to a college decision.
Kuresa, who has also already visited Oregon, has one more trip left – to BYU this weekend – and then he is expected to make his decision.
“I think Jake is going to visit BYU, then we’re going to sit down and talk about it as a family. We’re going to see if he wants to go to a Pac-10 school or stay around here. This is totally up to him. It’s his decision, it’s where he has to live and grow up and go to school.”
Kuresa’s father’s family lives in Southern California, while his mom’s are all from Utah. Kuresa attends Mountain Crest High School in Hyrum, Utah.
Kuresa himself was not available for comment. He was attending the all-state banquet tonight. If he is chosen all-state as expected, it will be his second consecutive year to be named to the team.
