Kuempel plans to set official visits

Marion, Iowa three star ranked offensive tackle prospect Andy Kuempel (6-foot-7, 250 pounds) enjoyed his Homecoming weekend, as Linn-Mar defeated Cedar Rapids Jefferson 44-24 last Friday.
“We won the game, and I also went to the homecoming dance," Andy Kuempel said. "The dance was a fine high school event, except that the DJ played the Cha Cha slide way too much. I wanted to Cha Cha slide my head into the wall after hearing that song about 3-4 times. Now don't get me wrong, I can cut a rug with the best of them, but that song just annoys me. It's the Hokey-Pokey with a beat."

Kuempel has also started to look at setting some official visits, yet that process won't be easy for Kuempel.
"I play basketball in the winter, so just trying to line up available dates has been a chore. Iowa State gave me a weekend to shoot for, but I have games on both Friday and Saturday that weekend. I'm going to sit down and really figure things out soon. I'm planning to take official visits at this point to Iowa State, Kansas State and Florida."
Kuempel also is planning to take an unofficial visit to the University of Florida.
"I'm going to check out the University of Florida on October 30th. That's a good time for me to check out the school, so I'm going to spend the weekend in Gainesville.
