KU, K-State lead for Kansas lineman

With four offensive linemen in the state of Kansas already committed to either Kansas State or Kansas, you’d think that Olathe (Kan.) East offensive lineman Todd Haselhorst might be getting antsy and wondering where he fits in the plans of the schools after him. But that’s not really the case.
“It’s probably KSU and KU,” Haselhorst, who is 6-foot-4 and 284 pounds, said on Monday night. “I went to KU today for a surprise visit. It went good. The coaches weren’t there, so I hung around and watched the linemen practice.”

How’d they look?
“The seniors looked pretty solid,” Haselhorst, one of the state of Kansas’ top prospects, said. “That was fun.”
Haselhorst said it’s been kind of down time here for him the past few weeks. After recovering from an illness that kept him out of off-season training for a few weeks, Haselhorst has been working full bore on the weights and getting ready for his senior season.
“My squat max is now 460, and I think I will hit 500 before football starts,” he said. “I’m feeling really good, and I’m so excited for football to come around. We have our team camp here at the end of July and then we start practices in mid August. We’re ready to show everybody that this is Olathe East’s year.”
But before that happens, Haselhorst said he’s hoping to make a few more unofficial visits.
“I’m trying to find a time slot to visit KSU and Nebraska,” “But we’re visiting LSU, Arkansas, Texas A&M, Oklahoma State on the second week of August.”
Haselhorst has offers from Kansas, K-State, Michigan State, Minnesota and Missouri.
