KSU pledge enjoys trip

Alpharetta (Ga.) Chattahoochee offensive lineman John Hafferty chose Kansas State during the summer. He made his official visit this weekend.
“The visit was great,” the 6-foot-3, 305-pound Hafferty said. “I feel very comfortable with Kansas State. I loved it. I always have. It was a lot of fun. I just spent some time with the guys while I was there.

"There were a lot of very good recruits there. A lot of them are being recruited by some very good schools."
Hafferty has been selected to play in the Georgia All-Star game later this month.
“The game is for all classes in the state,” he said. “I’m very proud of that honor. There are a lot of good players in the state.”
Hafferty said Wildcat coach Bill Snyder visited with him about the possibility of coming in and helping out on the offensive line immediately.
“I visited with Coach Snyder,” Hafferty said. “I felt very comfortable with him. We talked about when I come in and whether I can come in and try and play next year. I’m planning on playing right away. We talked about me working hard for the left guard position.”
