KSU commit to take visits

Raymore (Mo.) Raymore-Peculiar two-star defensive lineman Josh Johnson was one of Ron Prince's recruits when he was the coach at Kansas State.
And now that Bill Snyder is the head man in Manhattan, Johnson said it's kind of unclear whether or not he'll be a Wildcat in the future.
"I talked to Sean Snyder briefly," Johnson, who is 6-foot-8 and 265 pounds, said.
"He said he was going to get back to me. I haven't talked to Bill Snyder yet, though. Sean Snyder called me, but I didn't answer the phone. I called him back, and he said he would get back to me and we would talk more in-depth."
Johnson said one other Big 12 school has stepped up its pursuit of him since the news of Prince's firing.
"Iowa State is now calling me," he said.
"I'm going to take a visit up there, but I haven't set up a date yet. The coaches up there are really nice guys. They haven't offered me a scholarship yet, but they've offered me an official visit."
Johnson had a solid senior season, earning all-area honors. He starred on both sides of the ball for Ray-Pec.
