Kovalcheck nears decision

The Arizona Wildcats are inching their way ever closer to receiving the committal of one of the best quarterbacks in the Golden State. Richard Kovalcheck (6-3, 205, 4.7) from San Diego (Calif.) Saint Augustine is very close to committing to John Mackovic and the Wildcats.
“I’m leaning towards Arizona,” Kovalcheck said. “It’s a good fit and I know I there is great quarterback coaching going on over in Arizona.”

“I think coach (John) Mackovic is a great quarterback and he’s going to be more involved coaching the position.”
“I like Arizona as a school and the students at the college too.”
Kovalcheck threw for over 2,600 yards and 19 touchdowns as a senior while leading his team to the San Diego section CIF championship game. He and his St. Aug teammates lost in the game.
For his tremendous career, Kovalcheck threw for a little over 7,000 yards and 70 touchdowns.
Kovalcheck is a four star quarterback and is ranked by Rivals100 as the nation's number 15 drop back quarterback.
Kovalcheck could make his official announcement any second.
The last two teams standing are Arizona and Tennessee, with the decided edge in Arizona’s court.
