Kolb takes a visit, adds offer

Burke (Va.) Lake Braddock offensive tackle Khamrone Kolb took an unofficial visit this past weekend to one school in the ACC. The 6-foot-6, 300-pound lineman also pulled a major offer from the Big Ten over the weekend.
"I went up to Maryland with my friend and teammate Jack Phillips," he said. "Maryland was ok. I just went for practice, took in a scrimmage. I went to see the coaches since I hadn't seen them in awhile.

"Maryland was fun. They've got a good program and are close to home."
In other news, Kolb pulled his eighth scholarship from Penn State.
"I did get an offer from Penn State," he stated. "They told me they are sending it.
"That's a big offer, it's a big program and they've got a lot of good things going on up there.
"I wasn't really surprised by it. I went up over spring break and they were talking like they were going to do that."
Kolb now holds offers from Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, North Carolina, NC State, Penn State, Virginia and Virginia Tech.
